Rent Costumes & Props

The cost of costume rental is based on what items are being rented. A deposit will be required.

Our costume stock comes from nearly 20 years of Town Hall Theatre productions. We specialize in youth sizes and carry western period clothing from ancient times to the present.

Please note that we typically do not carry costumes for popular culture characters or from movies and television shows.

Our costume rental periods are flexible. We do not charge extra fees based on how long you rent. We just ask that you provide your specific rental dates when you place your order.

Nonprofit organizations — including theater groups, churches, schools, and community groups — may qualify for a discounted flat rate. To take advantage of this rate, please follow these guidelines:

• Send one person, such as a costume designer, with measurements for everyone who needs a costume.

• Come prepared. Know what you need before you arrive, as nonprofit rentals are self-service.

• We do not offer fitting space or allow costumes to be tried on from the racks.

• You may pull extra costumes to give yourself options during fittings.

• Return any unused costumes before your opening night or event date and we will remove them from your invoice.

• All costumes must be returned laundered or dry-cleaned with any alterations removed.

Yes. If you would like to rent a costume for yourself or your organization, you need to book an appointment for a fitting. This helps us make sure the costume you rent fits properly, is in good repair, and has all the accessories needed to create a wonderful look.

Our costume shop does not schedule costume rental appointments from June through August. Rental arrangements and pick up for summer rentals must be made prior to June 1.

We do not offer shipping at this time. All costume rentals must be picked up and returned in person at our location.

The renter assumes all responsibility for loss of and/or damage to all items entered on the rental order for any cause whatsoever. Lost items must be replaced. If this isn't possible, we will charge a replacement cost, which is the amount of money it will cost to replace the item, not the market value of the lost item. In certain cases, we will charge for our shopping time to find a replacement. In the event of damage, the renter agrees to pay Town Hall Theatre such amounts as the costumer may determine for repair/replacement of any items.

Our costumer will need to know what type of costume you are looking for, general sizing requirements (adult, teen, or child), and when you will need the costume.
