Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining important infrastructure in Washington Township.

The department oversees the construction, improvement, and maintenance more than 150 miles of Township roads, including sidewalks, traffic signs and signals, curbs, gutters, and the storm sewer system within the public right-of-way.

Other services include leaf pickup and snow removal, as well as facility, vehicle, and cemetery maintenance, including one active cemetery, the Centerville-Washington Township Cemetery on Maple Avenue.

The Public Works Department also helps implement the Township's beautification efforts, such as entry signs and public plantings.

Note: AES Ohio is responsible for vegetation management in the area of their power transmission lines.
