Trustee Meetings

Washington Township government operates under the direction of the Board of Trustees and a Fiscal Officer.

Washington Township is a "home rule" township. Residents have adopted Limited Self-Government, which allows the Township Trustees to pass resolutions similar to city ordinances. These resolutions must follow state law and specific legal limitations.

Public Meetings

Trustee meetings usually occur twice a month and are open to the public. The first meeting is held on the first Monday at 6:30 pm, and the second on the third Monday at 4 pm. If a Monday is a holiday, the meeting is generally rescheduled for the following Tuesday.

Public Notice: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees and Fiscal Officer of Washington Township will be touring township-owned properties on Monday, February 9, 2026, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and concluding at approximately 4:00 p.m. This tour is for informational purposes only. No action regarding township business will be taken.
