Washington Township and the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission are inviting Township residents to an interactive workshop focused on active living.
“Advancing Active Living in Washington Township” is scheduled for 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 2 in the theater at Washington Township RecPlex West, 965 Miamisburg-Centerville Road. The workshop will focus on a specific study area that includes the area bordered by Yankee Street on the west, Paragon Road on the east, I-675/Congress Park Drive on the north, and Pinecreek Drive on the south. Please refer to the attached map for a visual outline of this area.
This workshop is an opportunity to collaborate and work toward a goal of healthy people and healthy communities. Participants will learn about active living interventions, evaluate built environment conditions in the local area, and engage in discussions about how to provide better active living conditions in the area by sharing their ideas for addressing existing challenges and leveraging future opportunities.
Residents, especially those who live or work in the study area, can register online for the free workshop at https://arcg.is/15vqXj0. Those who register in advance will receive an agenda of workshop activities prior to the event.
